Akzo Nobel, Ecolab Executives To Lead SDA Board of Directors

  • Board Elects Akzo Nobel’s Frank Sherman as Chair, Ecolab’s Susan Nestegard as Vice-Chair
  • SDA Membership Elects 25 Executives to Two-Year Board Terms

WASHINGTON, D.C. – February 4, 2008 – The Soap and Detergent Association (SDA) Board of Directors elected executives from Akzo Nobel and Ecolab to serve as 2008 Chair and Vice-Chair, respectively, at the Board’s meeting in Boca Raton, Florida.

Frank Sherman, President and General Manager of Akzo Nobel’s Surfactants Business Unit, is the new Board Chair. Succeeding Mr. Sherman as Vice Chair is Susan Nestegard, Senior Vice President, Research, Development, Engineering & Chief Technical Officer, Ecolab Inc.

A total of 25 executives from the cleaning product and chemical industries were elected by SDA’s membership to two-year terms on the SDA Board of Directors. That unanimous vote occurred during SDA’s 82nd Annual Meeting & Industry Convention.
