Dow Chemical, PQ Executives Join SDA Board

Tony Frencham, Paul Ferrall Elected at D.C. Meeting;
Colgate’s Seamus McBride to Serve as SDA Treasurer

WASHINGTON, DC – June 25, 2007 – Executives from The Dow Chemical Company and PQ Corporation have been elected to The Soap and Detergent Association (SDA) Board of Directors.

During its mid-year meeting in Washington, D.C., SDA’s Board elected the following Directors to fill existing vacancies:

• Tony Frencham, Global Business Director and General Manager – Cleaning, The Dow Chemical Company.
  
  
• Paul J. Ferrall, Jr., President – PQ Americas, PQ Corporation.
  
  

The current term of the new Board members lasts through January 2008. The SDA Board consists of 25 members; currently there is one vacancy.

In other action, the Board elected Seamus McBride, President, U.S. and Worldwide Commercial Effectiveness, Colgate-Palmolive Company, as SDA Treasurer. Mr. McBride serves as Chair of the Board’s Finance Committee.
